Teaching and the supervision of students is an integral part of my academic career. Since many years I have been teaching seminars in anthropology and film(making) at various universities. My main interests are multimodal approaches and practical training in documentary filmmaking. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, amongst others, at the University of Bremen, the University of Hamburg, the University of Münster und the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.

Moreover, I am available for workshops and seminars for the non-academic public. I have gained tremendous experience in the organisation of and implementation of participatory media workshops in various fields.
